Great place to for breakfast with a twist! Finnish items are featured. The Pannukakku was wonderful treat...almost a breakfast dessert! The pastries arewonderful too. The service was excellent, and they also are offering take-out.

The Finnish pancakes were extraordinary.

Food was great and our server was very friendly. We got breakfast and all of it was phenomenal. My first time going, but my family had been multiple times before. Will definitely be back!

Friendly staff and good service despite always being busy. I frequently come here with groups of 10 or more even during busy times and I always feel welcome. Excellent pannukkaku, and possibly the best pasties in the area. A local fixture for a reason!

Good food, good prices! One of the better places to eat in Houghton. My daughter said it was the best salads she's had in a while. Everybody loves the handmade fries and the pastys were great.

Their pancake was unique and the texture was light. Their beef stew was also tasty. I was disappointed that the pasty was sold out.

My most favorite restaurant in the UP! Staff is always very friendly, food is amazing and the price is unbeatable! Rare to find a Finnish place, although more likely to see one in the UP. They have some interesting choices that you don't find elsewhere. It's cheaper than most fast food places, and 100x better.

Absolutely love this restaurant!! Good food, friendly staff. Only complaint is that it is so popular you sometimes have to wait awhile, but totally worth the wait!

Finish breakfast place, great food. Love the ambience.

Solid food, but nothing extraordinary. A mom and pop place. We had pasties and Vienna cheese soup. Homemade bread wad good. Ice tea was fresh and homemade. Ambiance was casual. Bill for a family of four was $33. Staff was friendly.

So good!!! Everything we had was wonderful, especially the blueberry French toast. Even better was the service. You could tell how well everyone worked together to give the absolute best service. Everyone was so friendly and happy to be there. Can’t wait to go back!

LOVE Finish pannakuku. Custard like pancake is great. Coffee was good. Worth the short wait. Mini pasties we're good. Kids menu is available but not posted at the door.

Very good breakfast with a healthy portion of everything! I order scrambled eggs, bacon, American fries, cinnamon raisin toast and coffee and couldn't finish it all. Boyfriend thought it was very good to. I only wish they offered a side dish of fruit. Will definitely be going back!

Great Finnish restaurant, especially for breakfast. The prices are fantastic and everything is homemade. Within walking distance of many stores in downtown Houghton. As a student, I love going to Suomis to get breakfast with friends. 10/10

I went here to get something Finnish for breakfast. The custard filled pancake (pannukakku) was amazing. Staff is great and atmosphere "Yooper" just like I hoped for.

Service is always fantastic - the servers there are always swamped but invariably friendly. I have never had a bad meal at Suomi. If you're looking for a cheap, delicious, and incredibly filling breakfast, go to Suomi!

My daughters are Michigan Tech alum and have loved this place forever. Stopped for many a breakfast and have always had a great meal. Thanks to Cathy for a great auto repair shop recommendation, Toucan's in South Range, when our car had issues on a recent trip.

If you've never had sweedish pancakes, this is the place for you. If you've had sweedish pancakes, this is also the place for you. If you're not a fan, you will be after you try them here. Also, the finnish french toast (finnish because it's made with nissu) is by far the best french toast you'll ever have. Plus, coffee included with every meal! You can't go wrong

A perfect place for breakfast if you have a little bit of time. There's a reason this place usually has a wait in the mornings; the food is fantastic! We'll definitely be back soon. I recommend the omelettes! 😄

Yum! This place is delicious. I was told to try it out from a friend and I'm so glad I did. Super cozy atmosphere. Food was fantastic! We wanted to go back the next day but we didn't have enough time. Will be back in the future.

My favorite place (besides home) for biscuits and gravy. Always get it with some corned beef hash. Nice place to bring my kids before school & eat with my husband for breakfast dates. The staff is always exceptional.

One of the worst meals ive ever had no sense in explaining but id find another place in the area every bite if everything was really bad . Bean soup the beans where hard as a rock and couldnt eat the soup so much salt it was bitter , blueberry french toast comes with 1 small piece of french toast meaning 1 slice or bite for $6 , and all of it wasnt fresh including the eggs if we didnt get it to go and were on the rd id give it right back and get a refund Very poor quality and service also waited 40 min for the food

Fantastic breakfast, coffee and service. Everyone is so nice and they make you feel like family. The pannukakku is the only thing I get here because it easily won my heart, and I always struggle to get something else because it is so good.
